石牆原系，第三代祖李山石於1871年，建造三合院時，所修築防禦土匪、與保護住家及人畜安全用。因第一代祖鼎成與二代祖臣春，在北投山腳所建造的土角草房，與瓦造祖茨均因泉洲與漳洲械鬥時所燒毀，現祖厝李協勝公所在地為第三次重建。
