綠石槽只出現在四、五月份，隨後海藻就在夏日陽光的曝曬下而消失，這段短暫而美麗的季節中，經常吸引來自全台各地的專業攝影師來此捕捉美景及拍攝婚紗照。遊客前往當地拍照，需先上氣象局網站查詢每日石門地區的乾潮時間，才不致因海水漲潮淹沒石槽，而無法捕捉綠色海岸的美景。
