Der Seealpsee der Appenzeller Alpen liegt auf einer Höhe von 1143.2 m und hat eine Oberfläche von 0.136 km². Die maximale Tiefe beträgt 15 m.

Der Seealpsee liegt inerhalb des Kantons Appenzell Innerrhoden. Er ist in ca. 50 Minuten zu Fuss von Wasserauen (Endhaltestelle der Appenzeller Bahnen) auf einem steilen, tlw. asphaltierten Weg zu erreichen.
