Le monastère de Cimiez a été fondé au IXe siècle par les moines bénédictins de l'abbaye de Saint-Pons, et il rassemble l'église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption et le musée franciscain qui retrace la vie franciscaine à Nice depuis le XIIIe siècle.
